Baalbak, Baalbak district

Based in Baalbak, Jihad Bayan is a Lebanese woman who has been working in different types of handmade skills for more than 18 years now, such as embroidery, crochet, sewing, and oya. She claims that the practice of taree not only represents the Lebanese history, but represents especially the heritage of Baalbak and its beauty. Embroidery and taree are everlasting skills that will continue to be passed on throughout the years to the younger generations. Jihad and her team are currently working from home, but she wishes to demonstrate her work and her skills to the tourists that visit Baalbek through a small stand or hut.
