After studying ashion design and marketing in London, Paris and Beirut, Tala Hajjar was the marketing director for jewelry designer Azza Fahmy in Cairo. She then attended Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design for a year and did two years at ESMOD before her last stop in Paris to get a degree in fashion marketing.

After an internship at Lancel, a dream stop, the young woman returns to Lebanon to get married. She entrusts Rabih Kayrouz with the delicate task of making her dress. This is the beginning of a long friendship and professional collaboration. For three years, she worked at his side as director of marketing and public relations. In November 2008, Rabih and Tala launched Starch, a non-profit organization based in Beirut with the objective of launching emerging Lebanese designers.
